You are applying for the Full Time Assistant Director of Nursing position on 1st Shift with 1-3 Years Experience.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Assistant Director of nursing is to serve as Director of Nursing in the absence of the Director, and to provide assistance to the Director in the performance of assigned functions and responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (list specific job duties)

A. At the direction of the Director of Nursing, assists in directing and coordinating the provision of nursing care to residents consistent with standard nursing practices.

B. Participates in and contributes to the performance of duties/tasks assigned to the Director of Nursing.

C. Assists in assuring the provision of treatments, medications, and nursing services according to care plans and physicians’ instructions.

D. Contributes to the orientation and professional development of the nursing staff.

E. May act for the Director of Nursing as assigned in directing the activities of the nursing staff.

F. May coordinate nursing team meetings.

G. May participate in assessment and evaluation of nursing services and nursing staff.


H. Assists with nursing service quality assessment and assurance functions and activities.

I. Coordinates services with interdisciplinary team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

? Current, valid licensure as a RN required
? 1-2 years experience in nursing home, or home health setting providing care to geriatric-age patients
? Management/Supervisory experience required
? Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed
? Strong written and verbal skills required
